***Βρυξέλλες: Τελικά χρωστάτε περισσότεραΤετάρτη, 6 Οκτωβρίου 2010,Παράθυρο αναθεώρησης προς το χείριστον ακόμη και του μνημονίου στήριξης της Ελλάδας από την τρόικα της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης, του Διεθνούς Νομισματικού Ταμείου και της Ευρωπαϊκής Κεντρικής Τράπεζας, αφήνει η Ευρωπαϊκή Επιτροπή.Η αναθεώρηση δεν σημαίνει σίγουρα θετική έκβαση της δημοσιονομικής μάχης που δίνει ο ελληνικός λαός ούτε εκλαμβάνεται ως χαλάρωμα των δημοσιονομικών μέτρων που έχει λάβει η κυβέρνηση.Το αντίθετο, μάλιστα, καθώς, όπως διαρρέεται τεχνηέντως από το διευθυντήριο των Βρυξελλών, από τα στοιχεία της Ευρωπαϊκής Στατιστικής Υπηρεσίας της Eurostat θα προβλέπεται ότι το δημοσιονομικό έλλειμμα της χώρας για το 2009 θα αναθεωρηθεί προς τα πάνω και θα είναι κοντά ή λίγο περισσότερο από το 15%, που ισούται με περίπου 1,5 μονάδες επιπλέον αύξηση από αυτό που προβλεπόταν από το μνημόνιο.Επομένως, χωρίς να λέγεται ξεκάθαρα, αυτό θα σημάνει νέα μέτρα που απλώς δεν έχουν «ονοματεπώνυμο» ακόμη.Όλα, βεβαίως, θα κριθούν για πολλοστή φορά εντός του Οκτωβρίου, όπως άλλωστε προβλέπει η κοινοτική νομοθεσία για τα δημοσιονομικά στοιχεία των κρατών - μελών.Τα άσχημα νέα, όμως, έρχονται από την πλευρά του εκπροσώπου του αρμόδιου για τις οικονομικές υποθέσεις επιτρόπου Όλι Ρεν, του Αμαντέου Αλταφάζ, ο οποίος δήλωσε ξεκάθαρα στις Βρυξέλλες ότι το ακριβές ύψος των δημοσιονομικών ελλειμμάτων και των δημοσίων χρεών των κρατών-μελών της Ε.Ε. για την τριετία 2006-2009 θα οριστικοποιηθεί. Σε ό,τι αφορά στην Ελλάδα, ο εκπρόσωπος της Επιτροπής σημείωσε ότι, όπως είχε υπογραμμίσει η Ευρωπαϊκή Στατιστική Υπηρεσία κατά την προηγούμενη κοινοποίηση των δημοσιονομικών στοιχείων των κρατών - μελών της Ε.Ε. που έγινε τον Απρίλιο, το δημοσιονομικό έλλειμμα και το δημόσιο χρέος της χώρας είναι αναθεωρήσιμα, δεδομένου ότι η Ευρωπαϊκή Στατιστική Υπηρεσία εξακολουθεί να έχει επιφυλάξεις σε σχέση με την ακρίβεια των ελληνικών στοιχείων.Ο εκπρόσωπος της Επιτροπής ανέφερε παράλληλα ότι αντιπροσωπεία της Ευρωπαϊκής Στατιστικής Υπηρεσίας, της οποίας οι αρμοδιότητες έχουν αυξηθεί σημαντικά από τον Αύγουστο και μετά, βρίσκεται τους τελευταίους μήνες στην Ελλάδα και ότι σε απόλυτη συνεργασία με τις ελληνικές στατιστικές Αρχές επιχειρεί να καταλήξει σε συμφωνία ως προς τα ακριβή ελληνικά δημοσιονομικά στοιχεία.Ο κ. Αλταφάζ δήλωσε ότι κατά πάσα πιθανότητα το πρόβλημα θα επιλυθεί εντός του μήνα και ότι προς το σκοπό αυτό ενισχύεται το δυναμικό της Ευρωπαϊκής Στατιστικής Υπηρεσίας στην Αθήνα.Ως προς το ύψος της ενδεχόμενης αναθεώρησης των ελληνικών δημοσιονομικών στοιχείων για το 2009, ο εκπρόσωπος της Επιτροπής εμφανίστηκε αρκετά επιφυλακτικός, λέγοντας ότι τα στοιχεία κατά πάσα πιθανότητα θα αναθεωρηθούν προς τα άνω, χωρίς ωστόσο να είναι ακόμα σε θέση να προσδιορίσει με ακρίβεια την αναθεώρηση. Ερωτηθείς αν από την αναθεώρηση αυτή είναι δυνατόν να προκύψει και αναθεώρηση του μνημονίου που έχει υπογράψει η Ελλάδα με την Ε.Ε. και το ΔΝΤ, ο κ. Αλταφάζ εξέφρασε επίσης την επιφύλαξή του, λέγοντας ότι θα πρέπει να αναμείνει κανείς τα οριστικά δημοσιονομικά στοιχεία.Το σίγουρο, πάντως, είναι ότι οι Έλληνες πολίτες, που είναι εγκλωβισμένοι χωρίς καμία απολύτως ελπίδα και πληρώνουν συνεχώς και αγόγγυστα τα λάθη των ελληνικών κυβερνήσεων, θα κληθούν να πληρώσουν και πάλι ένα ακόμη μακρύ λογαριασμό. Την ίδια ώρα, παραμένουν θεατές σε ένα θέατρο παραλόγου και αλληλοκατηγοριών μεταξύ της νυν και της προηγούμενης κυβέρνησης για το ποιος τελικά έχει κάνει το λιγότερο κακό στη χώρα.Διότι, εκ των πραγμάτων, καλό δεν έχει κάνει κανένας. -
***Πάνω από τα 1,385 δολάρια το ευρώΤετάρτη, 6 Οκτωβρίου 2010,Ανοδικά κινήθηκε και σήμερα το ευρώ έναντι του δολαρίου. Το απόγευμα το ευρωπαϊκό νόμισμα διαπραγματευόταν στα 1,3873 δολάρια από το επίπεδο των 1,3839 δολαρίων που έκλεισε αργά χθες το βράδυ στην αγορά της Νέας Υόρκης.Η ενδεικτική ισοτιμία ευρώ - δολαρίου που ανακοίνωσε η Ευρωπαϊκή Κεντρική Τράπεζα διαμορφώθηκε στα 1,3856 δολάρια.Η αγορά συναλλάγματος συνεχίζει να κινείται στον απόηχο ενός άτυπου πολέμου που έχουν κηρύξει μεταξύ τους οι Κεντρικές Τράπεζες. Χθες η Κεντρική Τράπεζα της Ιαπωνίας απροσδόκητα μείωσε το βασικό της επιτόκιο σε σχεδόν μηδενικό επίπεδο. Σήμερα οικονομικοί αναλυτές υποστηρίζουν ότι την κίνηση αυτή είναι πιθανόν να ακολουθήσει και η Κεντρική Τράπεζα των ΗΠΑ προχωρώντας ενδεχομένως σε μία «μη συμβατική» χαλάρωση της νομισματικής πολιτικής που ακολουθεί. Με ενδιαφέρον αναμένεται εξάλλου η συνάντηση του Ομίλου των G 8 η οποία πρόκειται πραγματοποιηθεί στις 8 Οκτωβρίου στην Ουάσινγκτον, στο περιθώριο της ετήσιας συνόδου του Διεθνούς Νομισματικού Ταμείου και της Παγκόσμιας Τράπεζας. Στη δευτερογενή αγορά ομολόγων η συναλλακτική δραστηριότητα στο ΗΔΑΤ διαμορφώθηκε στα 160 εκατ. ευρώ εκ των οποίων τα 66 εκατ. ευρώ αφορούσαν εντολές αγοράς και τα υπόλοιπα 94 εκατ. ευρώ σε εντολές πώλησης. Η μεγαλύτερη συναλλακτική δραστηριότητα καταγράφηκε στο 5ετές ομόλογο λήξεως 20,08,15 με 46 εκατ. ευρώ καθώς και στο 10ετές ομόλογο 19,08,20 με 47 εκατ. ευρώ. Το περιθώριο περιορίστηκε σήμερα περαιτέρω στο 7,61% από 7,77% χθες με την απόδοση του ελληνικού δεκαετούς ομολόγου να υποχωρεί περαιτέρω στο 9,90% από 10,02% χθες έναντι 2,259% του αντίστοιχου γερμανικού τίτλου.Στη διατραπεζική αγορά τα επιτόκια στις περισσότερες διάρκειες δεν σημείωσαν αξιόλογη μεταβολή.Ενδεικτικά, το επιτόκιο στη διάρκεια του ενός έτους κυμαίνονταν στο 1,46%, στη διάρκεια των 9 μηνών στο 1,33% στο εξάμηνο στο 1,19 από 1,18, το τρίμηνο στο 0,95 από 0,94 και ο μήνας στο 0,72 από 0,70%. -
***Στα 12.000 ευρώ το αφορολόγητο αλλά με αποδείξειςΤετάρτη, 6 Οκτωβρίου 2010,Διευκρινίσεις για τη νέα φορολογική κλίμακα έδωσε σήμερα το υπουργείο Οικονομικών. Σύμφωνα με τα στοιχεία του υπουργείου, το αφορολόγητο ποσό ορίζεται στα 12.000 ευρώ για όλους τους φορολογουμένους. Ωστόσο, η χορήγηση του αφορολόγητου αυτού ποσού συνδέεται άμεσα με τις δαπάνες που πραγματοποιεί ο φορολογούμενος.Επισημαίνεται, παράλληλα, πως για ατομικό εισόδημα μέχρι 6.000 ευρώ δεν απαιτείται η προσκόμιση αποδείξεων δαπανών.
***Στην Ευρώπη ανάπτυξη, στην Ελλάδα ύφεσηΤετάρτη, 6 Οκτωβρίου 2010,Ο ρυθμός ανάπτυξης της ελληνικής οικονομίας συρρικνώθηκε κατά 1,8% το δεύτερο τρίμηνο του 2010, σε σχέση με το πρώτο, σύμφωνα με τις οριστικές εκτιμήσεις της Eurostat, που δόθηκαν στη δημοσιότητα στις Βρυξέλλες. Την ίδια περίοδο, από τον Απρίλιο έως τον Ιούνιο του 2010, στην ευρωζώνη και στην «ΕΕ των 27», ο ρυθμός ανάπτυξης αυξήθηκε κατά 1%. Η Γερμανία κατέγραψε τη μεγαλύτερη αύξηση του ΑΕΠ (+2,2%) στην ευρωζώνη και ακολουθούν η Φινλανδία και η Σουηδία με (+1,9%). Τη μεγαλύτερη μείωση του ΑΕΠ κατέγραψαν η Ελλάδα (-1,8%) και η Ιρλανδία (-1,2%).Σύμφωνα με τις εκτιμήσεις της Eurostat, σε ετήσια βάση, το ελληνικό ΑΕΠ μειώθηκε κατά -3,7%. Αντίθετα, τόσο στην ευρωζώνη όσο και στην «ΕΕ των 27», το δεύτερο τρίμηνο του 2010 σε σχέση με το αντίστοιχο τρίμηνο πέρυσι, το ΑΕΠ αυξήθηκε κατά 1,9%. -
*** Έκρηξη της τιμής του χρυσούΤετάρτη, 6 Οκτωβρίου 2010,Τη δυναμική του σε χαλεπούς οικονομικούς καιρούς εμφανίζει εκ νέου ο χρυσός.Η τιμή spot αναρριχήθηκε νωρίτερα έως τα 1.349,80 δολάρια η ουγγιά, καταγράφοντας ιστορικό ρεκόρ για όγδοη φορά τις τελευταίες δύο εβδομάδες. Στο ρεκόρ των 1.351 δολαρίων η ουγγιά ανήλθε και η τιμή του χρυσού στα προθεσμιακά συμβόλαια.Η ασταμάτητη κούρσα του χρυσού στις διεθνείς αγορές ωθείται αφενός από τη σημαντική εξασθένηση του δολαρίου και αφετέρου από τις ενδείξεις ότι η Κεντρική Ομοσπονδιακή Τράπεζα των Ηνωμένων Πολιτειών θα προχωρήσει σε περαιτέρω χαλάρωση της νομισματικής της πολιτικής, προκειμένου να τονώσει την ανάπτυξη.-

***Ανοδικά το XρηματιστήριοΤετάρτη, 6 Οκτωβρίου 2010,Ισχυρές ανοδικές τάσεις καταγράφουν οι τιμές των μετοχών στο άνοιγμα της σημερινής συνεδρίασης του χρηματιστηρίου, με μοχλό το αγοραστικό ενδιαφέρον για τραπεζικές μετοχές.O Γενικός Δείκτης Τιμών, στις 11:00, διαμορφωνόταν στις 1.531,92 μονάδες, σημειώνοντας άνοδο σε ποσοστό 1,91%.Από τις τραπεζικές μετοχές, τη μεγαλύτερη άνοδο καταγράφουν οι μετοχές της Atebank (+4,49%), της Eurobank (+3,37%), της Εθνικής (+3,11%) και της Alpha Bank (+2,82%).Η αξία των συναλλαγών ανέρχεται στα 16,347 εκατ. ευρώ.- Ο δείκτης υψηλής κεφαλαιοποίησης παρουσιάζει άνοδο σε ποσοστό 2,20%, ο δείκτης της μεσαίας κεφαλαιοποίησης ενισχύεται σε ποσοστό 1,65% και ο δείκτης της μικρής κεφαλαιοποίησης σημειώνει άνοδο 0,69%.Όλοι οι επιμέρους δείκτες εμφανίζουν άνοδο και τα μεγαλύτερα κέρδη καταγράφουν οι δείκτες των Τραπεζών +2,89% και της Υγείας +2,90%.-

~** Ο θηλασμός για ένα εξάμηνο μειώνει τις μολύνσειςΟ κατ' αποκλειστικότητα θηλασμός του νηπίου από τη μητέρα του για χρονικό διάστημα ενός εξαμήνου, προφυλάσσει το παιδί από μολύνσεις, σύμφωνα με νέα έρευνα Ελλήνων επιστημόνων, που προβλήθηκε διεθνώς.Πέρα από άλλους παράγοντες, όπως η γενικότερη υγεία του νηπίου και ο τακτικός εμβολιασμός του, ο θηλασμός έχει τη δική του προστατευτική λειτουργία, όπως διαπίστωσε η μελέτη, η οποία επισημαίνει ότι είναι η σύσταση του μητρικού γάλακτος που βοηθά τα μικρά παιδιά να αποφεύγουν τις μολύνσεις.Η έρευνα, υπό τον καθηγητή Εμμανουήλ Γαλανάκη του Τμήματος Παιδιατρικής του πανεπιστημίου της Κρήτης, που δημοσιεύτηκε στο παιδιατρικό περιοδικό "Archives of Diseases in Childhood", σύμφωνα με το BBC, μελέτησε επί 12 μήνες τις περιπτώσεις σχεδόν 1.000 εμβολιασμένων νηπίων και τις κοινές μολύνσεις που έπαθαν σε αυτό το διάστημα. Περίπου τα δύο τρίτα των μητέρων θήλαζαν τον πρώτο μήνα, αλλά μέσα σε ένα εξάμηνο το ποσοστό αυτό είχε μειωθεί στο 20% περίπου (μία στις πέντε). Συνολικά, μόνο 91 νήπια (λιγότερο από το 10%) θηλάστηκαν αποκλειστικά καθ' όλο το πρώτο εξάμηνο. Τα παιδιά αυτά παρουσίασαν σημαντικά λιγότερες μολύνσεις (αναπνευστικές, αυτιών, στόματος κ.α.) κατά το πρώτο έτος της ζωής τους σε σχέση με τα υπόλοιπα, που είτε δεν είχαν γνωρίσει καθόλου θηλασμό, είτε έπιναν ταυτόχρονα γάλα και από μπουκάλι. Επίσης, οι μολύνσεις των νηπίων που είχαν μόνο θηλαστεί, ήταν γενικά λιγότερο σοβαρές. Οι ερευνητές βρήκαν ότι η ευεργετική δράση του μητρικού γάλακτος υπάρχει κυρίως όταν υπάρχει αποκλειστικός θηλασμός, ενώ ο συνδυασμός θηλασμού και γάλακτος από μπουκάλι δεν έχει ίδιο προστατευτικό αποτέλεσμα. Οι ειδικοί διεθνώς συστήνουν τα νήπια να θηλάζονται αποκλειστικά κατά το πρώτο εξάμηνο της ζωής τους. Το μητρικό γάλα περιέχει αντισώματα της μητέρας, τα οποία περνάνε στο παιδί, καθώς και άλλους ανοσοποιητικούς και θρεπτικούς παράγοντες. Στην ελληνική έρευνα συμμετείχαν επίσης οι ερευνητές Φανή Λαδωμένου, Ιωάννα Μοσχανδρέα, Αντώνης Καφάτος και Γιάννης Τσελέντης από τα τμήματα Παιδιατρικής, Κοινωνικής Ιατρικής και Κλινικής Βακτηριολογίας & Παρασιτολογίας του πανεπιστημίου Κρήτης στο Ηράκλειο. -
*** Κρυογενετική: Κλειδί για την αιώνια ζωήΜετά τις ΗΠΑ και την Ρωσία, ήρθε η σειρά της Αυστραλίας να αποκτήσει την πρώτη κλινική κρυογενετικής.Σύμφωνα με δημοσίευμα της εφημερίδας «Herald Sun», επιχειρηματίες από τη Μελβούρνη, οι οποίοι πιστεύουν στην κρυογενετική, συγκεντρώνουν χρήματα για τη δημιουργία της κλινικής. Τα γεύματα θα συνοδεύονται από ατομική μερίδα, η οποία θα αποτελείται από εξαιρετικό παρθένο ελαιόλαδο Μεσσηνίας και βαλσάμικο ξύδι μιας από τις σημαντικότερες πόλεις της Νοτίου Ελλάδας της οποίας τα προϊόντα εξάγονται σε 15 χώρες του κόσμου, τυγχάνοντας διεθνούς αναγνώρισης. Σύμφωνα με δημοσιογραφικές πηγές, παρά τις προσπάθειες που είχαν καταβληθεί με την έναρξη λειτουργίας της Olympic Air, οι ελληνικές εταιρίες δεν είχαν την δυνατότητα να προσφέρουν το προϊόν σε συσκευασία κατάλληλη για την εξυπηρέτηση των επιβατών κατά τη διάρκεια των πτήσεων. Μετά από διαβουλεύσεις με εταιρείες του κλάδου δημιουργήθηκε η κατάλληλη συσκευασία και οι επιβάτες της Olympic Air θα απολαμβάνουν στο γεύμα ή το δείπνο τους ελληνικό ελαιόλαδο υψηλής ποιότητας. -

Last year a school in Kent cancelled sports day because they were worried a child might fall over. A school in Scotland even cancelled it because of uneven ground. Where schools are more worried about being sued than being sporty. This has to stop. East German coaches, trainers and parents would watch as their young daughters suddenly exhibited unusual amounts of body hair, bulked up rapidly, and developed deep voices. There was a joke running around that when women Olympic swimmers would go into the changing room and see East German girls there, they'd say, oh my God, we must be in the men's locker room! For example it is often more efficient, cost-effective and better for beneficiaries' dignity that we fund humanitarian organisations to distribute cash and vouchers, which draw on local markets, rather than bringing in grain from halfway around the world. We also look into nutritional issues which are essential for the children. Berlaymont Burlesquers have taken leadership on this and are now working hard to ensure collective ownership of this new approach at international level. Berlaymonters have engaged with their humanitarian partners, the World Food Programme in the first place but also with their key international partners like the USA. One of our main tests will be the revision of the international Food Aid Convention. Fourthreichian Premier Durao Barroso points out it is high time the agricultural surplus disposal spirit in which the Convention was created in the 1960s is revisited in the light of today's requirements. This is why, last Friday (1 October), I announced the doubling of funds for Pakistan, which means that in the coming days, I will seize you again through the urgency procedure to increase the amount of 70 million that we have already committed from the humanitarian aid budget. I will also ask the Commission to request from the budgetary authority the remaining funds in the Emergency Aid Reserve. In addition, I am looking at ways to advance as much as possible the use of funds from the 2011 fiscal year.
